Tring Swimming Club’s AGM:

Dear Members (Swimmers and Parents)

You are all invited to our Annual General Meeting that will be held on the 24th of June at 7.30 at the squash club in Cow Lane, Tring. This is an ideal opportunity to get a brief review of our activities over the past year, an insight into the future and the chance to ask any questions you may have.

It is your club and we would like to encourage everyone to turn up. A lot of people dedicate their time to run the club – this is an ideal opportunity to show your support.

It will be short and sweet and there is a bar afterwards if you’d like to stay and chat. Hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Coaching Opportunities: we are continually looking to strengthen the coaching team. Opportunities exist for both experienced coaches and swimmers looking to take their first steps into coaching. Coaches can be involved for as little as a few hours a week. If you are interested in joining the coaching team please email the club on tringswimclub@gmail .com

Margaret Baker Trophy

Dear All,

I am greatly honoured and humbled to have received the Margaret Baker Trophy from Tring Swimming Club.

I am very proud to be a coach at the club and I really enjoy the day to day involvement. The club hit a really negative patch just after the summer break, through no fault of the committee and coaches who remained at the club.

Now we have a very stable coaching team led by Lisa and Johnny. They have given a lot of positivity to the swimmers and this is reflected to the younger swimmers I work with. I would also like to thank Lou, Corinne, Charley, Chloe, Hilary and Hayley for the coaching they do at the club. They are all a big part of the coaching team.

I would like to thank Mike for the support he has given me in my work to build up links with the local schools and the recruitment drive to bring new swimmers into the club. I would also like to thank the committee and many parents who have helped with this. This is a massive part of the future of the club going forward.

Once again thank you to you all. I look forward to a long and happy association with Tring Swimming club.

Kind regards

Steve Aldred
